Natasha Bird – Tash. Owner/Executive Director: In the industry for over 20 years beginning my career in Napier. I travelled to London to follow my dreams. In London I took every opportunity for continued development and training. I worked on both the Alternative Hair Show and London Fashion Week. Upon returning to NZ I purchased M>PHOSIS in 2012.
Having competed in competitions since the first year of my apprenticeship, I have won many awards and represented HB Internationally. I am a Judge for the NZARH live regional hairdressing competitions.
In 2016 I became a Guest Artist and Ambassador for NIOXIN. In 2018 I completed an Australasian Tour for Wella Red Business Breakfasts sharing my love and salon approach to NIOXIN.
I love every aspect of hairdressing, have strengths in all areas and my priority is your experience within the salon.
Michelle Ironside. Advanced Stylist: Michelle . Her natural ability and attention to detail makes her an incredible stylist.
Her successes in competition: 2016 MARH awards where she placed in both the Next Generation The Night Hair Live and Day Style. 2017 BOPARH Next Generation 1st The Night Hair Live, 2nd The Colour Presentation and Top Regional Stylist Next Generation. Competing at the NZARH Supreme Hairdressing Awards representing HB has been an incredible experience. 2019 NZARH Regional Competitions 3rd in Future Trend Mens Cut Senior Stylist.
Her gentle caring nature will make your salon experience memorable and enjoyable. Michelle will listen to you and help you develop a style that suits you and your lifestyle.
Gaylene Fryer. Progressive Stylist and Barber (Emerging Style Stylist): Gaylene is a qualified barber with a drive to complete her hairdressing qualification.
She is taking clients, but may bounce ideas off our more experienced stylists as she makes the perfect plan for your hair. Transitioning into a stylist on the floor and working towards her final exams. Her recent success at the NZARH Live Hair Stylist regional competitions held in Palmerston North has boosted her confidence with a 3rd Placing in Editorial Long Senior Stylist.
She has an infectous laugh, is a great listener and will take great care of you. A bonus for your visit is her skills at the basin will help you relax and let your cares float away.
Gracie Nisbet. Emerging Stylist (Emerging Style Stylist) : ON MATERNITY LEAVE FROM NOVEMBER 2019. Gracie is no stranger to hairdressing as it runs in the family. Gracie has completed her training and qualification at MPHOSIS. She would love to make your salon experience memorable with her holistic approach to give you a finished look that embraces your individuality.
Gracie had amazing results in competitions: 2016 HBARH awards by winning the Top Next Generation Stylist Award, her winning looks for Next Generation the Night Hair Presentation, the Day Style and placing in The Colour gave her the highest marks for the day. 2017 BOPARH competitions winning the Cut Live and the Colour Presentation. Going onto the 2017 NZARH Supreme Awards. And Mid Central Region Apprentice of the Year. 2019 NZARH Live Competitions 1st The Cut LIve Next Generation and Top Overal Cutter Next Generation.
With her love of fashion and understanding of style she is has a real ability to help you 'Own your Look'
