Myth Buster #2 Purchasing professional products online or from pop up bargain shops.
I have heard a lot of people recently saying they are using a shampoo/conditioner the same as the one we sell that they found on an online site or pop up sale shop for a much lower cost.
It is a huge concern to us because there are only 2 reasons why they are cheaper;
1. It’s expired and the ingredients are no longer active and will not have any beneficial impact on your hair. Professional products are made with very high quality ingredients so you can get the best possible results for your hair; they have an expiry which is there for a reason.
2. It’s fake. Most professional salon brands only sell to registered professional Hair salons and shampoo shops. When the brand discontinues or has expired goods more often than not they will destroy the product. The reason they do this is because they want you to get the most benefit from their products so their brand name remains of a high quality.
The scariest thing about the fake products is the ingredients they use in them, they will use the cheapest possible ingredients to keep the cost down so they can charge you less or get a huge amount of profit from them. The fake ingredients can be very harmful to your hair, so please be very cautious if you decide to purchase outside of your salon.
